Transportation and Lodging
We will provide pick up and delivery, if you fly in commercially
from out of town, to PHOENIX SKY-HARBOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. The distance to Chandler Air Service is about 18 statute road miles and takes 20-25 minutes. Rental cars are
available both locally and out of Sky-Harbor.
Fly your own aircraft into Chandler and we will provide ramp
parking and help with cars and places to stay also. Our full time shop can do
oil changes, inspections and so on while here flying.
There are many places to stay in every price range. The summer
months provide the lowest rates (April thru September). Winter rates (October
thru March) are much higher but afford the best flying times. Anyway you look at
it the cost will start at $190 a week up to $250 for short stays. Apartments are
available but usually require 6 mouth leases. We do not attempt to provide
housing for long term stays but will help in finding a place to stay. Many students, for short courses, over the years have bought or
rented bicycles for the three to four mile ride to the airport depending on
where you stay. We are in contact with a few auto dealers and we can help you with
the purchase and resale of a car or motorcycle for extended stays. |
