Aircraft
Rental at Chandler Air Service
We try to meet the needs of the pilot population in providing aircraft
for their general use. Our fleet of aircraft provides an above average
selection and many are equipped with GPS (for those who do not know how to
use a chart).
Our aircraft fleet consists of mostly Piper aircraft, Warriors,
Archers, Arrows and Super Cubs, along with a Dakota. We also have 2 Cessna 172’s and a Beechcraft Bonanza for higher time pilots. Our Great Lakes
Aerobatic Biplanes are available for qualified pilots.
For those pilots from out of the U.S. who wish to come to our corner
of the world, we put together special rental programs to help with the
checkouts, mountain flying, OBTAINING U.S. Private CERTIFICATE, and planning neat
trips to see our great part of the country. We also provide night checkout
and endorsements for those who have restricted night flying and you can then
fly at night.
We can help pilots with building flight time for your certificates. We
have pilots fly 50 to 100 hours in a month. There are many places to take
over night trips.
Since we are in a mountainous area we require a mountain flying
checkout if you wish to fly in the mountains. We will include it in the
normal checkout for rental. We approach this on an individual basis. We do
Biennial Flight Reviews as part of the checkouts if they are needed.
We do not allow aircraft to go away for long periods of time. You can
plan on local and statewide flying on a daily basis with two to three day
trips as a rule for longer trips. We do look at each case if you have a
specific trip to take. We also limit rental at night in single engine
airplanes to fly in the mountains. There are some other restrictions so if
you have some special need please ask.
Only Chandler Air Service instructors can instruct in our aircraft and
as a result you cannot give or receive instruction for outside pilots while
renting these airplanes. It is OK when maintaining instrument proficiency to
take a safety pilot but we need to be advised of your intention.
ENDORSEMENTS & TRAINING OTHER THAN PILOT CERTIFICATES OR RATINGS
We do Biennial Flight Reviews (BFR's) and training endorsements. Examples of this type of training are; Tailwheel, Complex, High Performance, Aerobatics, Spin training, night flying or just any kind of proficiency training appropriate to your needs.
